Guardian Watch Worldwide.

A surveillance system built and operated in-house. It screens open sources continuously and surfaces what appears at the animal–human interface, then generates the report series from what it finds.

What it looks for

Spillover events and suspected spillover. Reservoir and vector dynamics. Antimicrobial resistance moving through livestock and food chains. Range shifts in vector-borne disease. Unusual detections in companion animals, wildlife and production animals — the categories a clinician notices and a human-health database usually does not index.

How a signal is handled

Items are collected, de-duplicated, geolocated where the text allows it, and scored for priority. Scores are relative indicators for review order, not risk assessments. Detection by the system means the source reported something; it does not mean the publisher has verified it independently, and reports say so.

Two generations

The first-generation system, Scout / OHZDIS, ran from April to May 2026 across 27 active sources. Guardian Watch Worldwide replaced it in June 2026 with a wider collection base and the automated publication pipeline that produces the current report series. Both are original work and are the subject of registered copyrights in the Republic of Korea.

What it is not

This is not a substitute for institutional surveillance and does not present itself as one. It is a second set of eyes on the animal side of the picture, published openly so that others can check it.

Where the signals come from.

Collection draws on official notification systems, scientific literature, and open news reporting. The mix matters: official channels are authoritative but slower, and local reporting is often first.
